Fire Safety Conference 2025 (Dublin, Republic of Ireland)
The InToxFIRE project team participated in the Fire Safety Conference 2025, held on 16 October 2025 at the Dublin Airport Carlton Hotel. Organised by the Ireland Branch of the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE), this year’s event was themed “Fuelling Progress – Engineering the Future of Fire Safety”. The conference brought together fire professionals, structural designers, engineers, and academics from across the world. With two technical sessions, seven invited speakers, and a side exhibition showcasing industrial solutions, the event provided an excellent platform for networking, exchanging ideas, and sharing the latest advancements in fire safety science and engineering.

Dr. Svetlana Tretsiakova delivered an invited presentation titled “The InToxFIRE Project: Investigating the Permeation of Toxic Chemicals through Fire Suit Ensembles” and shared the most recent experimental findings of the InToxFIRE project.

Throughout the conference, the InToxFIRE team actively promoted the project by presenting its goals, methodologies, and key results. The team also engaged in technical discussions and networking with firefighters, fire engineers, and academics, enhancing collaboration and raising awareness of the project’s impact on real-world fire safety practices.

The conference covered the topics including modern methods of buildings construction and fire safety science from fire engineers perspective, human behaviour in fire events, wildfire and fire contaminants. The programme featured two interactive Q&A sessions, and participants were awarded seven Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours.
Stay tuned for more updates on the InToxFire project and future developments in fire protection research.
